Visit the Revenue Cycle Inc. Team as they exhibit at the SATRO Annual Meeting. 

Join Ron DiGiaimo and Teri Bedard for a pre-conference seminar titled A Clinical Approach To Radiation Oncology Documentation and Billing Processes.  This 4-hour seminar will provide attendees a detailed overview of required documentation to support billing for services rendered within a Radiation Oncology department.  Revenue Cycle Inc.’s clinical approach to education will detail each step of the process of care through an understanding of the Radiation Oncology Team members’ day-to-day work processes.  The balance between billing and patient care is incorporated into the education to assist attendees with real scenarios in the typical busy department.  RCI’s clinical experience paired with the extensive knowledge of payer expectations will be provided during this valuable education opportunity.  Registration is required; please click here for more information and to register.

Ron DiGiaimo and Teri Bedard will also be presenting FAQs in Radiation Oncology Billing and Coding on Thursday, May 3rd from 1:00PM - 2:30PM.  This session will address many of the frequently asked questions in radiation oncology, including but not limited to, IMRT, IGRT, HDR, SBRT and the associated recurring CPT® codes for treatment devices and plans.

AAMD 37th Annual Meeting

Join Sally Eggleston and Kelli Weiss as they exhibit and speak at the AAMD 37th Annual Meeting.  Sally and Kelli will be presenting 2012 Coding, Billing & Compliance Update on Monday, June 11th, at 4:40PM – 5:30PM.  This program is designed to review with dosimetrist the latest coding, billing, documentation and compliance associated with the clinical procedures performed by their discipline.  Information will be presented to the attendees that will include but will not be limited to; New CPT Codes for 2012, updated documentation and signature requirements, ICD-10 implementation, medical necessity requirements and compliance regulations for 2012.

Join Kelli Weiss and Regan Tierney as they exhibit in Booth 1028 at the AAPM Annual Meeting. 

ACCC 29th National Conference

Join Ron DiGiaimo as he presents Financial Counseling in Radiation Oncology. This presentation will review the need of financial counseling in any oncology practice with an emphasis on radiation oncology. Ron will cover the mechanics of the position, give some examples and discuss return on investment for budgetary purposes.

Oh, Do We Have To…A Therapist(s) Role in Documentation, Reimbursement and Compliance

This program is designed to provide a glimpse into the emerging new roles for therapists in the realm of documentation, reimbursement and compliance.  The course will provide a detail of the importance of these new job roles, as well as a review of the current Medicare guidelines to assist in compliant documentation and code capture for procedures performed within the Radiation Oncology Department.  It will also provide the therapist(s) with references and resources to assist in their new role and day-to-day responsibilities.

With the recent Medicare transmittal regarding cloning of medical record documentation, questions have been raised as to appropriate utilization of documentation templates and electronic documentation.  This presentation will address Medicare concerns regarding these documentation practices, as well as the importance of customized, patient specific and accurate medical record documentation.  Recommendations for documentation processes will be presented, along with documentation examples to provide attendees with the opportunity to identify possible improvements within their own facilities.

Radiation therapists document events and procedures that occur with each patient they come in contact with on a daily basis.  Whether this documentation is on paper or within the EMR, there are implications as to what we indicate occurred.  Do we all comprehend the significance of this documentation?   The audience will be asked to consider various aspects of documentation and the moral and legal obligations that are contained.
