Additional discussion regarding proposed changes for 2011 and if released prior to the meeting, specific information regarding the 2011 final rule will be provided. Navigating the Medicare Website for Resources to Apply in Your Radiation Oncology Department Tamara Syverson will present detailed information regarding use of the Medicare website to identify available resources to assist in daily coding and documentation within the Radiation Oncology department. She will provide step by step instruction on navigating the Medicare website to identify and recognize regulations and policies pertaining to both Hospital Outpatient and Freestanding departments, as well as locating specific web based tools, manuals and educational materials to assist in maintaining a compliant department.
Drugs Are Not Just For Medical Oncology Kelli Weiss and Sally Eggleston will present detailed information regarding the utilization, documentation and correct coding methods for drugs commonly used in the radiation oncology department.
