Our broad range of experience is a valuable resource for those who wish to add oncology services—for both the individual physician and large multi-specialty group, alike. We’re also qualified to assist a wide range of providers, from the single-community hospital to national hospital chains, in evaluating potential partnerships, when seeking to execute an APC conversion or to add an oncology line. We can consult and assist with all the necessary preparations to create a Part B environment vs. a Part A environment. We employ feasibility studies and pro formas to jointly analyze which scenario satisfies the majority of the physician's and hospital's needs. The feasibility study includes research of potential locations for the proposed oncology center, including surrounding demographics and cancer incidence projections. These figures are used to predict the numbers of medical oncology and radiation oncology patients. The projected number of patients is used to determine the size and scope of the cancer center or APC conversion to Part B. Once these preliminary steps are completed, we work with you to customize your center. We can coordinate the professional construction team of architects, engineers, general contractor and sub trades as well as help you select equipment and prepare a financial analysis to determine the amount of financing required, equity and your return on investment. You will know up front whether your dream has home run potential. All projections are driven by your payor mix, local reimbursement, population range, competition and other local factors that are tailored to your specific needs. Cancer is on the rise with one person in three now expected to develop cancer at some point in their life. The need for quality care in the United States will only grow in the coming decades with the aging of the baby boom population. Now is the right time to consider your potential options. |
